The LiveJournal Revival community

Are you fed-up with sites like Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr? Do you wish your old friends who've migrated to those sites would return to LiveJournal? The the_lj_revival community has been set up with that aim in mind, and you are invited to join it. If you are already on LiveJournal and still have a Facebook profile, and would like to see more people returning to LJ or setting up accounts here, we invite you to post a link to this community on your Facebook Timeline. If you would like to find out who is still using LiveJournal and make contact with those who are already here, you are invited to copy and paste the 'about me' questions on the profile page and post them with your answers to the community.

LiveJournal is already getting busier than it's been for many years. Let's see if we can persuade our old friends to return and bump the activity-level up a bit further!

FIMBULVETR - March 25th

Fimbulvetr is unique in Scotland, and possibly the rest of the UK, in that we play the very best music from the wide spectrum of ambient, drone, electronica, noise, doom, folk, post-rock and anything that's dark & down-tempo. We're always looking for new music to play so let us know if you've heard anything exciting or you're making this kind of music yourself.

Ascension this Saturday at The Banshee Labyrinth

Ascension is moving!

We have decided enough is enough at Studio 24 and are delighted to announce we will be re-locating to The Banshee Labyrinth on Niddry Street.

This will allow us to create two seperate dancefloor areas enabling people to enjoy their specific genres more, while still being able to dip into something else if they so choose.
i.e. Electro/Industrial/EBM/Noise in one area and Goth/Darkwave/Altenative 80's in the other.
The energy and vibe that was created in the 'Cave dancefloor' at the Angelspit aftershow party convinced us that it can work as a venue for us. I'm sure all those who have been to The Banshee Labyrinth would agree that the atmosphere and architecture is more in keeping with an Alternative club as well. We will be relaying out a couple of the rooms slightly to maximise space and depending on how the club night goes we can expand into other rooms in future if need be.
As it stands we will have two seperate dancefloor areas, as well as the cellar bar and wide corridor allowing people to socialise a bit more. Seating can be found in all four areas.

We hope you support us in this move and it will meet your musical needs more than we may have been able to provide in a single room venue before.
This will also allow us to bring in guest DJs on a regular basis.

We will also be reducing our entrance fee to £4

Launch night is Saturday July 10th

Doors are 10PM - 3AM
